Original Text:

Translation:
The scholar.
There are scholars and scholars, man or things are not all alike. There is the scholar who knows (that's the rarest species). Then there is the one who knows nothing about anything or knows only things of no importance or of no use, which means, he knows less than nothing. The scholar of these various categories is considered as being a serious and profound man: he is in high places and is articulate just like all the others who know nothing. His days are idle and uneventful unless when he is asked to accept the medal of honor or membership in the Academy.
